Since the release of Three Words EP in May, we’ve been touring up and down the coast extensively not to mention, a slew of Bay Area shows.
This past Summer has been quite possibly the funnest, booze drenched, smoke choked, exhausting, life threatening, spirtually awake, emotionally weird, musically intense, inspired, and fucked up Summers not just for us as a band but, you know, as four dudes.
In between touring, playing locally, holding day jobs, partying our asses off, having our hearts smashed up like a pinata at a 11 year old boy’s birthday party in East LA, meeting some truly incredible people, and disapointing our parent’s we’ve managed to write some new songs. Some really fucking good new songs, if I do say so myself!
Rather than listen to all the folks in the biz and continue playing out and promoting our latest release for the next nine months come November 20th, we will play one last show of 2010 and then hibernate in the rehearsal space/recording studio developing these new jams and preping them to be recorded.
I won’t say when you’ll hear this new collection of songs or how it will be released. But, I will say it won’t be soon and we’re not doing another EP, we’re not doing a 7″ single, or releasing them on a fucking 8 track, cassete tape, or minidisc (remember those?)
You’ll just have to stay tuned. Sorry. But, I promise we’ll be updating you as frequently as possible. In the meantime, headover to http://www.sfxmusicfest.com/ and purchase tickets (they are cheaper online!) for our LAST show of 2010: Saturday, November 20th at SFX Music Festival at Kelly’s Mission Rock in San Francisco. The show is 18+, $10 adv/$15 at the door, and starts at 4pm. Don’t miss it!

Moving on, as some of you know, we started this band when we were in High School in Walnut Creek. Since then, we’ve lived between Berkeley and San Francisco. Meeting up for rehearsals, and other band releated stuff has never been easy (although, hanging out never seems to be that hard?) SO, we’ve finally decided to move into a five bedroom house together in Oakland on December 1st. Ladies and gentlemen, meet LOVELESS MANSION:

(This is a shitty camera phone photo.)
This will either be the best decision we’ve ever made as a band or the worst decision we’ve ever made as a band. Either way, I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of you here after shows. Bring your own booze and please don’t miss on the rug, man.
Lastly, we’ve entered the Live 105 Not So Silent Night Local Band Contest. Which means, if we advance to the top 10 we’ll need your votes to play at the HP Pavilion in San Jose with The Smashing Pumpkins, The Black Keys, and a few others in front of 20,000 people! Or, just ANOTHER last show of 2010 depending on how you look at it.
Sorry for the lengthy post! Hope to see you all soon.
Yours,
rob
